Prof. Dr. Paulo Jorge da Silva

 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Brasília (1983), a Master’s degree in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Brasília (1988) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Physics and Organic Chemistry) from the University of São Paulo (1997). Currently Associate Professor IV of the Federal University of Mato Grosso. He has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis on Chemistry of Madeira, Chemistry of Natural Products, working mainly on the following topics: organopolisation, CMC study, phytochemical approach and study of the cytotoxicity of natural substances.

Supervision of Undergraduate and Teaching

Supervision of teaching and extension works with the teaching staff of educational institutions, coordinating pedagogical practices, as well as accompanying the development of extension activities and school registration. The work developed by the supervisor of teaching involves teachers, Pro-rectory, technical-administrative And dicentes.

With the teachers, it meets individually or in a group to exchange ideas / experiences about the work to be done in class, making planning through the contemplation of the curriculum. It also promotes, moment for reflection on the work developed in the classroom with the objective of improving the results obtained, referring to the student’s learning.

With the Pro-Rector’s Office, he participates in organizing, following up and developing the entire Action Plan process for that school year, conducts a meeting, facilitates the study of the environment and other material resources, among others. With the Dicentes, it promotes regular monitoring of the proposed activities, as well as evaluations and their results. It performs individual or group meetings to probe ideas, opinions, doubts, expectations, anxieties, etc.

Graduation Chamber

 

It is the deliberative and advisory body in the field of Undergraduate Education, it consists of:

 

  • From the Dean of Undergraduate Teaching, as President;
  • Of 1/3 (one third) of the Presidents of the Collegiate Courses of Graduation of each Unit, the fraction being equal or superior to 0.5 computed as 1 (one) representative, with a minimum of one representative per Unit;
  • From student representatives of the undergraduate courses, indicated by the respective student body, in the proportion of 1/5 (one fifth) of the non-student members of the Chamber;

 

Responsibilities of the Graduation Chamber:

 

  • Approve Curricula for Undergraduate Courses;
  • To propose to the University Council policies and standards related to Undergraduate Education;
  • Approve the creation or suppression of Undergraduate Courses;
  • To act as a recursal instance in the area of graduation, when it is argued illegality in the trial, in processes originating from the Councils of the Units;
  • Develop and approve the operating rules for the Chamber;
  • Approve the rules regarding the Vestibular Contest;
  • Establish evaluation policies for Undergraduate Courses;
  • To propose to the University Council rules and guidelines on the work regime of teaching staff;
  • Manifest about subjects, proposals or plans affecting your area of work;
  • Elect the representatives of the Chamber to the University Council, being forbidden the indication of more than 1 (one) representative per Unit.

Camera Extension

 

It is the deliberative and advisory body in matters of extension, it consists of:
 

  • Pro-Rector of Culture and Extension, as President;
  • Of 1 (one) teaching representative of each Unit, participant in extension activities;
  • From student representatives of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses, indicated by the respective student entities, in the proportion of 1/5 (one fifth) of the non-student members of the Chamber.

 

Extension Chamber Responsibilities:

 

  • To propose to the University Council policies and norms related to the extension;
  • To act as a court in the extension area, when it is argued illegality in the trial, in processes originating from the Boards of Units;
  • Develop and approve the operating rules for the Chamber;
  • To propose to the University Council rules and guidelines on the work regime of teaching staff;
  • Establish evaluation policies for extension activities;
  • Manifest yourself on subjects, proposals or plans affecting your area of expertise;
  • Elect the representatives of the Chamber to the University Council, being forbidden the indication of more than 1 (one) representative per Unit.

Systematic annotation of acts and relative facts of an educational establishment. Set of documents that the school must mandatorily have in order to ensure and facilitate the verification of the student’s identity, regularity and authenticity of his school life.

Research Chamber

 

It is the deliberative and consultative body on research, it consists of:

 

  • From the Dean of Research and Postgraduate, as President;
  • One (1) representative of the researchers from each Unit who has held a doctorate for at least five (5) years;
  • Of student representatives, research fellows of the Undergraduate or Graduate Courses, indicated by the respective student entities, in the proportion of 1/5 (one fifth) of the non-student members of the Chamber.

 

Research Chamber Responsibilities:

 

  • Propose university policies and norms related to research;
  • To act as a recursal instance in the area of investigation, when it is argued illegality in the trial, in processes originating from the Boards of Units;
  • Develop and approve operating standards for the Chamber;
  • To propose to the University Council rules and guidelines on the work regime of teaching staff;
  • Establish evaluation policies for search activities;
  • Manifest yourself on subjects, proposals or plans affecting your area of expertise;
  • Elect the representatives of the Chamber to the University Council, being forbidden the indication of more than 1 (one) representative per Unit.

prefecture

 

The prefecture of the University Campus (PCU) is a body linked to the Pro-Rectory of the Araguaia University Campus, whose purpose is to support all sectors of the University Campus. The assignments of the PCU include material and capital management, general services (carpentry, cleaning, gardening, electrical and hydraulic maintenance, painting), protocol, transportation, surveillance, telephone contract management, water and electricity, , Xerox, obeying the legal precepts and the determinations of the superior organs.

Human Resources Management

 

Human Resources Management is the body responsible for the administration and development of human capital at our university. As an organizational structure, it is directly linked to the Pro-Rector of the Araguaia University Campus and has the responsibility, among the various attributions, to act in Challenges imposed by the globalized context, within the scope of the public service, guiding the practice of the professionals who construct this university for the organizational objectives, especially the offer of quality public higher education, in the consolidation of a socially referenced institution.
